Thing 6: mashup discovery exercise

This is fun. I especially liked Flickr chia pet http://www.krazydad.com/defacement/. On this site you can "plant" chia seeds on pictures of people's bald heads (or ???) and watch them grow. Mappr looks interesting, but I couldn't quite figure out how it works. I will definitely want to spend some more time with it. It's neat to be able to see what other people think is worthwhile about a particular place, and puts more of a "face" on all those maps I've spent so much time gazing at. I enjoyed the "signs" tag on mappr; I have a thing for signage, especially historic or antique.
